Le baseball est un sport extrêmement populaire au Japon, à tel point qu’il est considéré comme un sport national sans en avoir officiellement le titre. Preuve en est que ce sport a un nom japonais, non importé, « Yakyou » (やきゅう). En tant que bonne curieuse je voulais donc voir un match au Japon. Malheureusement, la saison commençant fin mars il y avait peu de chance que je puisse le faire. Mais la chance a souri et j’ai pu voir la finale de la Asia Professional Baseball Championship 2017, qui est un tournois entre le Japon, la Corée du Sud et Taipei.

Il faut savoir que je n’y connais absolument rien en baseball, je ne connaissais même pas les règles avant d’aller voir ce match qui opposait la Corée du Sud et le Japon. Je souhaitais surtout vivre l’ambiance d’un match. Au final, j’ai adoré ! Que ça soit le sport en lui même ou les supporters japonais, sans compter que les Samurai ont gagné, tout était génial ! Je vous conseille fortement de voir un match si vous en avez l’occasion ! D’autant plus qu’il y a de nombreux spectacles de cheerleaders ! En plus, le match se déroulait au Tokyo Dome, soit le plus grand stade de baseball du Japon, et une arène mythique tant par les concerts que les événements. Bien sûr tout est prévu. Des stand de vente de produits officiels des Samurai en extérieur, des échoppes pour manger et boire, des toilettes, des zones pour les fumeurs, etc. Comme tout match, des serveuses passent dans les allées pour proposer bières et sodas. Bref, nous y avons passé 4h presque sans s’en rendre compte ! Foncez !

Baseball is a extremely popular sport in Japan, to the point where it’s considered like a unofficial national sport. The proof is that baseball has got his word in Japanese language and not a translation, « yakyu » (やきゅう). As a curious girl I wanted to see a match in Japan. Unfortunately, the regular season starts at the end of March, so I really had no chance to see it. But I was lucky and I saw the final of the Asia Professional Baseball Championship 2017, which is a tournament between Japan, South Korea and Chinese Taipei.

You have to know that I don’t know anything about baseball, I didn’t even knows the rules before going to the match (which was South Korea and Japan). I wanted to feel the atmosphere of a game. And I loved it ! Wether the sport itself or the Japanese supporters, without talking about the victory of the Samurai, everything was amazing ! I highly recommend to go to a baseball game in Japan ! Especially, for the cheerleaders show ! Moreover, the final was at the Tokyo Dome, the biggest baseball stadium of Japan, and such a legendary arena. Of course, everything is planned. Stands of official Samurai Japan merch outside, drinking and eating shops, WC, smoking zones, etc. As in any game, waitresses pass on the aisles to provide you beers and sodas. Anyway, we has spent almost 4h without realizing it ! Go !
